Math Crafts for First Grade
Sweet, Sweet Addends- Students will compose 3 addends that make their special number that is on their straw. Numbers are within 21. This can be easily differentiated by having students find two numbers instead of three. Throw in some real lemonade to beat the heat towards the end of the school year!
Beach Ball Number Sense- Students will automatically add and subtract with their knowledge of base ten. Need to differentiate? We have you covered! There are different number options up to 120 and offer a hundreds chart to students that need it.
Broken Up Sun- Could there be a better way to review fractions than working with a vibrant summer sun? Students will write fractions for each part of the sun. Multiple suns are included so you can easily differentiate.
Word Problem Watermelons- These word problems include addition, subtraction and missing addends. Make these watermelons look even more delicious by printing them on astrobrights paper and display in the hallway or on your favorite bulletin board 🙂
