freebies, social studies, summer

If you’re anything like us, you’re just counting down the days until the end of the year! With all of the end of year activities, it can be hard to keep students engaged in learning. So how can you combat the end of year burnout? By teaching your class about Flag Day! Check out these fun and engaging activities to teach Flag Day in your classroom.

Why teach Flag Day?

At the end of the year you are bogged down with celebrations and special days. We know it can feel overwhelming to add another one! But, Flag Day is the perfect distraction from the end of the year!

Most students don’t know about the history behind the American flag. Flag Day gives them the opportunity to learn something new in an engaging way. These interactive activities give you a break from the end of year countdown while providing much needed literacy skills revision.
