St. Patrick’s Day Crafts for First Grade
Shamrock Show It – Read and solve 1st grade aligned word problems that involve addition and subtraction – as a bonus, there are 10 different versions included!
Irish Luck – Your class will have fun surveying their friends, families or school staff! Students will then fill in the graphs and answer the questions relating to the data.
Leprechaun Fact Family – Use the 3 given numbers to create fact families with 2 addition and 2 subtraction problems.
Pots of Gold True or False – Students will determine if equations are true or false by cutting and pasting on to the correct side of the rainbow.

Bearded Digraphs – Students will have fun making this silly leprechaun by cutting, pasting and identifying digraphs to create his beard.
Lucky ABC order – Cut and paste these St. Patrick’s Day words around the horseshoe in ABC order – perfect practice for learning to alphabetize!
Shamrock Syllables – Students will read St. Patrick’s Day words and sort them based on 1, 2 or 3 syllables.
St. Patrick’s Day Rhyming Words – Students read words on each shamrock and determine which word does not rhyme – then use it to fill a fun leprechaun hat!

Place Value Shamrock – Create a colorful shamrock and work with hundreds, tens and ones by showing a three digit number with place value blocks.
Pot of Gold Counting Coins – Cut and paste coins to show set amounts that are illustrated on a pot of gold. We included a variety of differentiated options to meet the needs of all learners in your class.
Leprechaun Addition and Subtraction with Regrouping – Practice addition and subtraction skills that involve regrouping, and cut and paste the equations on the correct answers.
Leprechaun Hat Telling Time – Your students will have fun telling time to the 5 minute mark and writing in the correct hands on each clock to create a St. Patrick’s Day hat filled with gold coins.
