Winter Holidays {MEGA} Research Unit: Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Las Posadas: This resource is perfect for grades 2-4. It is JAM-PACKED with tons of resources to fill your December calendar up with non-fiction comprehension strategies, morning work, art and writing extensions and so much more! Of course its all Last year we were blown away with how much our own students were able to recall from the unit and they loved taking home their comprehensive pocketbook portfolio of all the work that they did throughout the month.  4  Extreme Weather and Natural Disasters MEGA pocketbook unit. This resource is our TPT BEST SELLER and for good reason. It’s relevant in so many ways and it’s easy to tie in current events. Plus, it’s a great way to get those boys in your class excited about ELA, Non-Fiction and writing, right? We liked to pair this unit with book studies from the “I survived” series by Lauren Tarshis.
